The media’s pretty hot and cold on Britney’s X Factor role; some love it, some hate it. And when some hate it, they bash her entire career.

One of London’s evening standard paper tells readers: It’s Time To Stop Bashing Britney. We agree! 

Britney’s back! Alas,accompanied by the inevitable Britney-bashing. Mere hours after the singer turned up for the x factor launch, she had already lampooned for her outfit and -shock,horror!- bleeding nail. Given that she has endured what would euphemistically be called a diabolically bad few years (the high of pashing Madonna giving way to divorce, breakdown and rehab, then being morphed into a marionette by her string-pulling father). Is it too much to ask to give Britney a break?
